Deployment of Intelligent Transport Systems for the Ministry of Interior of Uzbekistan at more than 2,000 intersections.
With the rapid economic development of Uzbekistan, the number of motor vehicles in major cities such as Tashkent and Samarkand continues to rise, and urban transportation governance is facing challenges. In this context, the Uzbek government has included smart transportation in the key planning of safe city construction, aiming to improve the modernization level of urban traffic management.
The Uzbekistan ITS project is a state-level smart transportation project built by the customer Telecom Soft for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan. The project includes the deployment of electronic police, snap cameras, traffic lights, signal controllers, switches and other equipment at 2,000 intersections, as well as the construction of an intelligent traffic management platform.
The project will be delivered in several phases according to the customer's needs. At present, the delivery of the first phase of Tashkent POC has been completed, including the deployment of electronic police, speed radar and other equipment at the main intersection with the largest traffic flow in Tashkent to achieve real-time monitoring and intelligent scheduling of traffic flow, automatic identification of traffic violations and other functions. Both the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan expressed satisfaction with the effectiveness of the deployment of the POC in Tashkent and demanded that the delivery of the second phase be started immediately (the same system was deployed in the cities around Tashkent).
Replicating HAC mature experience in delivering smart transportation projects in China overseas, it helps customers and Uzbekistan government affairs significantly improve their traffic governance capabilities, effectively reduce the occurrence of traffic violations and uncivilized traffic behaviors such as brutal driving, not wearing seat belts, and making and receiving phone calls while driving, alleviate the problem of urban road congestion and improve the domestic traffic situation in Uzbekistan.
